Manhattan’s Luxury Market Continues to Thrive in Mid-November

Manhattan’s luxury real estate market has remained stable for the third consecutive week, with at least 20 contracts signed for $4 million or more. The week saw 24 deals inked, four more than the previous week, totaling $234.21 million in sales volume, nearly $60 million more than the week before. Among the 24 contracts, 14 were condos, four were co-ops, four were townhouses, and two were condops.

50 West 60th Street: The Priciest Deal

The most expensive deal was for a condo at the under-construction 50 West 60th Street tower, marking the fifth time this year a unit at the Upper West Side development has claimed the top spot in Olshan Realty’s report. Listed at $45.75 million, the condo combines two units to create almost 7,000 square feet of living space, featuring five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. The home offers views of Central Park, particularly from the 56-foot great room flanked by two loggias. Amenities will include both indoor and outdoor pools, basketball and pickleball courts, and a dog-washing facility.

One57 Supertall: Second-Most Expensive Contract

The second-most expensive contract was for the 83rd-floor condo at the One57 supertall on Billionaire’s Row, just south of Central Park, listed at $34 million. The apartment sold immediately, though the deal marked a significant loss, as the seller paid $45.8 million in December 2016. The 6,240-square-foot, full-floor home has four bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. Both the great room and the primary bedroom overlook Central Park. The 90-story One57, built above the Park Hyatt Hotel, offers amenities that include use of hotel services, a pool, a fitness center, and private dining.
