Kanasa City Missouri Plaza is an open-air shopping and dining destination in the heart of Kansas City. Home to over 120 Shops & Eateries with a one-of-a-kind curated mix of national and local retailers & restaurants, over 50 unique to Kansas City. Known for its annual Plaza Art Fair and Holiday Lights, the Plaza’s design was inspired by Spanish architecture, boasts over 75 unique statues, fountains and one-of-a-kind artwork and has been a Kansas City tradition for over 100 years.

Kansas City Missouri Plaza premier retail, dining and entertainment destination, offering 100+ shops and dozens of fine restaurants nestled within 15 blocks of old-world architecture. Plaza Shopping Shoppers will recognize fine stores like West Elm, The North Face and Tiffany & Co. Kansas City Missouri Plaza Events is kept lively with a long-standing tradition of two annual events, including the widely recognized Plaza Art Fair, ranked among the top art fairs nationally, and a special Plaza Lighting Ceremony each Thanksgiving. The Kansas City Missouri Plaza spends seven weeks each winter (Thanksgiving-mid January) dressed up in jewel-colored lights. Holiday lights outline every shop, dome and tower of the Spanish-inspired shopping and entertainment district.


Modeled after the architecture of Seville, Spain, the Kansas City Missouri Plaza features beautiful buildings with ornate details, courtyards, and intricate tilework. The design was influenced by J.C. Nichols, a prominent Kansas City developer.
