Atomic Cowboy: Overland Park’s New Foodie Haven

Get ready, Overland Park! A brand new spot for breakfast, pizza, and drinks is coming to town. Say hello to Atomic Cowboy, a one-of-a-kind eatery that’s perfect for folks in Overland Park, Kansas City, and Leawood.

Three Tasty Options in One Place

Start your day with Denver Biscuit Co., serving biscuits and other breakfast goodies from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Then, from 11 a.m. onwards, it’s Fat Sully’s Pizza time! And all day long, you can chill at the bar, sipping cocktails and watching sports. With arcade games and a pool table, it’s a fun spot for all ages. Founder Drew Shader wants families to feel welcome, so bring the kids for an early dinner of pizza and burgers.

Bringing Atomic Cowboy to Overland Park

After a successful 2020 launch in Kansas City’s Westport neighborhood, Atomic Cowboy is ready to make its mark on downtown Overland Park. Shader thinks the area’s vibe is perfect for his unique restaurant concept.

Grab a Slice at the Walk-Up Window

One cool feature at the Overland Park location is the walk-up “slice window.” Here, you can order and enjoy build-your-own pizza slices outside. But maybe wait until the weather warms up a bit!

Yummy Menu Picks and Outdoor Seating

Some popular breakfast menu items include biscuits and gravy and the “Lola” – a fried chicken and bacon biscuit sandwich with maple syrup. The outdoor patio has room for lots of guests, but maybe not during a windchill warning.

The Story of Atomic Cowboy

Atomic Cowboy started as a bar in Denver 20 years ago. Four years later, Shader added Fat Sully’s Pizza. Then, his “biscuit bus” concept found its way into the bar, too. This mix of ideas became the Atomic Cowboy we know today.

Now with nine locations, including seven in Colorado, Overland Park is the newest member of the Atomic Cowboy family. At first, the Overland Park spot will be open from 8 a.m. to midnight, but hours might change later on. So, if you’re house hunting and want a cool dining spot nearby, check out Atomic Cowboy in Overland Park!
