The governor’s office estimates that Honeywell’s expansion will support over 200 jobs in other sectors, while the construction phase will create more than 260 temporary jobs in the state. Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly is excited about the high-tech jobs and opportunities being created, saying they’ll help more young workers find their dream careers in Kansas.

Gov. Kelly also said the project is expected to generate $47 million in total gross domestic product and contribute over $18 million in taxes within its first six years. U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran highlighted the importance of the announcement, praising the hard-working people of Kansas who have earned a reputation for quality work within the aviation manufacturing community.
