Get Ready, Overland Park: Atomic Cowboy’s Comin’!

Hey Overland Park folks, guess what? We’re gettin’ a cool new spot to eat, drink, and chill! Atomic Cowboy, a one-of-a-kind combo of breakfast joint, pizza place, and bar, is openin’ its doors on Tuesday at 7101 W. 80th St. This awesome eatery’s gonna serve up tasty grub for everyone in Overland Park, Kansas City, and Leawood.

So Many Yummy Choices at Atomic Cowboy

Atomic Cowboy’s got a ton of delish options for ya. From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., you can munch on biscuits and other breakfast goodies from the Denver Biscuit Co. side of things. After 11 a.m., it’s all about Fat Sully’s Pizza and their amazing pizza slices. Plus, the bar’s open all day, so you can kick back with a drink and catch a game on TV. They’ve even got arcade games and a pool table for some extra fun!

Drew Shader, the guy who started it all, wants Atomic Cowboy to be a place for families in Overland Park. So, bring the kiddos for an early dinner – they’ve got pizza and burgers on the menu. With the success of the Kansas City location in Westport, which opened in 2020, Drew and his team are stoked to bring this cool concept to downtown Overland Park.

Enjoy the Great Outdoors and Tasty Eats

One of the neat things about Atomic Cowboy is their walk-up “slice window” where you can order and eat their signature build-your-own pizza slices outside. But, you might wanna wait ’til it’s not so cold out!

Some popular breakfast items include biscuits and gravy, and the “Lola” – a drool-worthy fried chicken and bacon biscuit sandwich with maple syrup. They’ve got a big outdoor patio, too, but maybe save that for when there’s no windchill warning.

How Atomic Cowboy Came to Be

Atomic Cowboy started as a bar in Denver 20 years ago. Four years later, Drew added Fat Sully’s, a pizza place, inside the bar. Then, his “biscuit bus” idea eventually joined the party, too. That’s how the unique Atomic Cowboy we know and love today was born. Now, there are nine locations, with seven in Colorado.

The Overland Park spot will be open from 8 a.m. to midnight at first. Drew says they might think about stayin’ open later down the road. If you’re lookin’ to buy a home near this cool new place, check out the awesome neighborhoods in Overland Park, Kansas City, and Leawood.
