Introducing Atomic Cowboy: Overland Park’s Newest Culinary Gem

Hey food lovers in Overland Park, Kansas City, and Leawood! Get ready for a triple treat coming your way. Atomic Cowboy, a one-of-a-kind breakfast, pizza, and bar spot, is opening its doors at 7101 W. 80th St. on Tuesday. You won’t want to miss this!

Three-in-One Dining Experience

Start your day with Denver Biscuit Co., serving biscuits and other tasty breakfast items from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Then, from 11 a.m. onwards, it’s Fat Sully’s Pizza time! And don’t forget, you can chill at the bar all day, sipping on cocktails and watching your favorite sports. With arcade games and a pool table, it’s a fun place for all ages. Founder Drew Shader wants families to feel welcome, so bring the kids for an early dinner of pizza and burgers.

Atomic Cowboy Expands to Overland Park

After the success of its 2020 Kansas City location in Westport (4144 Pennsylvania Ave.), Atomic Cowboy is bringing its cool concept to downtown Overland Park. Shader thinks the area’s vibe is perfect for the restaurant.

One cool feature at the Overland Park spot is the walk-up “slice window.” Here, you can order and enjoy build-your-own pizza slices outside. But maybe wait until the weather warms up a bit!

Yummy Menu Choices and Outdoor Seating

Some popular breakfast menu items include biscuits and gravy and the “Lola” – a mouthwatering fried chicken and bacon biscuit sandwich with maple syrup. The outdoor patio has room for lots of people, but maybe not the best choice during super cold days.

How Atomic Cowboy Came to Be

Atomic Cowboy started in Denver 20 years ago as just a bar. Four years later, Shader added Fat Sully’s, a pizza place. His other idea, the “biscuit bus,” eventually joined the bar too. This mix of Shader’s ideas turned into the Atomic Cowboy we know today.

Now with nine locations, including seven in Colorado, Overland Park is the newest member of the Atomic Cowboy family. At first, the Overland Park spot will be open from 8 a.m. to midnight, but Shader says they might stay open later in the future. So, if you’re looking for a home near a fun dining experience, check out Atomic Cowboy in Overland Park!
