58th Hirschi Realtor Shoe Project: A Heartwarming Tradition Continues
For nearly six decades, the generous folks at Hirschi Realtors and the John Hirschi Libra Foundation have made the holiday season a little brighter for preschoolers in need. This year, the 58th Hirschi Realtor Shoe Project provided around 40 preschoolers with brand-new shoes and socks, a thoughtful gesture that continues to warm hearts and make a difference in the community.
Spreading Joy to Children in Need
On December 6, 2023, preschoolers from WFISD Head Start Schools and Child Care Partners gathered at the shoe department inside Sikes Senter Mall in Wichita Falls, Texas. Each child received a free, brand-new pair of shoes and socks, courtesy of Hirschi Realtors and the John Hirschi Libra Foundation. To top it off, the kids were treated to a surprise visit from Santa Claus himself.
A Tradition that Never Gets Old
Danny Sneed, the owner of Hirschi Realtors, said that seeing the children’s faces light up after receiving their new shoes never gets old. He emphasized the importance of giving back to the community and spreading joy to children who might not have the opportunity to get new shoes otherwise. “It gives us an opportunity to do something other than celebrate Christmas among ourselves. We get to do it with the children, and the children just kind of light up our day and light up our Christmas season,” Sneed said.
